ConverzAI pricing and ConverzAI cost per placement compared with 10 AI recruiting and interview tools

The short answer

ConverzAI does not publish a price. Its site says the Virtual Recruiter uses outcome-based pricing, "Pay only for placements, nothing else", but no page shows the fee per placement, a minimum or a contract term. When we checked on October 12, 2026, converzai.com/pricing redirected to the homepage and every page ended in a Book a demo form. If you want a published number to compare against, InterviewAgent.ai runs a scored AI first-round interview by voice or video from $149 a month for up to 100 interviews.

ConverzAI sells one product, the Virtual Recruiter, and it sells it only to staffing firms. The agent sources from your existing database and job boards, calls, texts and emails candidates around the clock, runs role-specific screening interviews built from the job details, schedules, chases paperwork and writes notes and status changes back to your ATS. Its demo form lists Avionte, Bullhorn, Ceipal, Erecruit, JobDiva, LaborEdge, Salesforce, TargetRecruit, TempWorks and Tracker. We build a competing AI interview agent, so we have an interest here, and we say so up front.

The pricing model is the unusual part. Most tools in this category charge per seat, per interview or a platform fee. ConverzAI says you pay per placement. That can be a good deal for a staffing firm or an expensive one, and which it is depends on a number ConverzAI does not print. This page sets out what ConverzAI does publish, read from its own site on October 12, 2026, shows how to test a per-placement quote against your own gross margin, and compares it with ten tools, seven of which print a price. Where a figure is our calculation rather than a quote, we say so.

Why it works

What your team gets with ConverzAI pricing

Staffing agency owner reviewing a software contract at a conference table

Priced in public

Plans are published at $149, $399, $999 and $1,998 a month, or half that billed yearly, so you can work out cost per placement before any call.

The interview, conducted

The agent asks the questions, follows up on thin answers and scores each one against your rubric, by voice, video or in writing.

A recruiter makes the call

Every candidate reaches a recruiter with a transcript and the evidence behind each score. The agent never rejects anyone on its own.

What it handles

Interviewed, scored and shortlisted on autopilot

The agent invites each applicant, runs a role-tailored screening interview by voice or video, asks smart follow-ups, scores every answer against your rubric, and advances the strongest candidates into a ranked shortlist for your recruiters to review.

  • Interviews every applicant by voice or video, day or night, on the candidate's schedule
  • Asks follow-up questions when an answer is vague
  • Scores every answer against anchors your team wrote, identically for each candidate
  • Returns a ranked shortlist with transcripts your recruiters can check in minutes
  • Costs $0.25 to $1.49 per interview on published plans, whatever you place

Why InterviewAgent.ai

One agent that runs the whole first round

Not a one-way video tool, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Interview, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the roles and rubric you already hire on.

Interviews every applicant

A role-tailored screening interview runs by voice or video, with smart follow-ups, on the candidate's schedule. Applicants consent and are told they are speaking with AI, so no qualified person waits days for a first call.

Scores to your rubric

Every answer is scored against the same structured rubric, with transcripts and highlights, so candidates are compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited against EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.

Ranks the shortlist

The strongest candidates are advanced into a ranked shortlist your recruiters review. The agent never auto-hires or rejects, it only surfaces who to talk to next, and your team makes every decision.

Six of the eleven vendors publish a price on their own site and five do not. ConverzAI is the only one priced per placement; every published price here is per month or per year, which makes a straight comparison impossible until you convert both to cost per placement for your own desk. Several unrelated products with similar names (Convai, Converzoy, ConvoZen) show up for this search; their prices have nothing to do with ConverzAI. For the wider field see AI interview software.

How much does ConverzAI cost?

ConverzAI does not say. On October 12, 2026 the address converzai.com/pricing returned a redirect to the homepage, there is no pricing link in the navigation, and every product and solution page ends in a Request a demo form that asks for your ATS. The only statement about cost anywhere on the site is on the Virtual Recruiter page: "Outcome-based pricing. Pay only for placements, nothing else! No more wasted spending on recruiting experiments, just measurable ROI."

That tells you the shape of the bill but not the size. There is no published fee per placement, no minimum commitment, no implementation fee and no contract length. G2 lists the product with no pricing information. So there is no ConverzAI quote to benchmark against, no ConverzAI plans by name and no ConverzAI virtual recruiter pricing table, only outcome based pricing in principle. Review and directory sites that print a ConverzAI price for this search are almost always describing Convai, a 3D character platform, or another similarly named product, so check the company before you trust a figure.

ConverzAI cost in practice is a per-placement fee multiplied by the placements the agent is credited with. Both halves of that sentence are negotiable, and the second one matters as much as the first.

What does pay per placement mean for a staffing firm?

A pay per placement AI recruiter moves the risk of a slow start onto the vendor: if the agent fills nothing, you pay nothing, which is the appeal ConverzAI is selling. The trade is that a good month costs more, because the fee scales with your success instead of staying flat. For a light industrial desk placing hundreds of temps a month, a per-placement fee can cost more than a flat subscription by month three.

Run the numbers on your own gross margin. Take the average gross profit on one placement for the desk you would use it on, and ask what share of that the ConverzAI fee would be. A fee that is trivial against a $15,000 direct-hire fee can eat a large slice of the weekly spread on a $17 an hour warehouse assignment. Then compare it with a flat tool: on our Growth plan, 500 conducted interviews a month cost $399, or $0.80 an interview. If one in ten screened candidates is placed, which is an assumption to replace with your own ratio, that is about $8 of interview cost per placement.

  • Which events count as a placement: a start, a first paycheck, or a candidate who stays past a guarantee period?
  • Who gets the credit when a recruiter and the agent both touched a candidate?
  • Do redeployments of an existing associate count as a new placement?
  • Is the fee a flat amount or a percentage of the bill rate or the placement fee?
  • Is there a monthly minimum, a platform fee or an onboarding charge on top?

What does ConverzAI include?

ConverzAI sells one product, the Virtual Recruiter, and describes it in seven parts. Agentic AI conversations answer candidate questions and schedule interviews around the clock. Candidate insights pull past interactions, outcomes and engagement into one view. Autonomous sourcing searches your own database, job boards, your website and recruiter hotlists. Smart interviews generate role-specific questions from the job details such as skills, role type and pay. Always-on engagement follows up by text, email and voice call and chases paperwork. ATS updates write status changes, notes and summaries back automatically. Performance dashboards track funnel, follow-ups and processing speed.

The site says the company is SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and 10DLC compliant and AI bias audited, and that the product is backed by multiple patents. Customer stories name Integrity Staffing Solutions, TalentBurst, The Advance Group, TalentBridge and Malone. Those are ConverzAI's own case studies, so treat the outcome figures in them as vendor claims.

  • Agentic AI conversations by voice, text and email, 24/7
  • Autonomous sourcing from your database, job boards, website and hotlists
  • Smart interviews built from the job details
  • Follow-ups, reminders and paperwork chasing
  • ATS status, notes and summaries written back automatically
  • Performance dashboards for funnel and processing speed

Who is ConverzAI built for?

Staffing firms, and nobody else. Every solution page is written for agencies (scale placements, recruiter efficiency, candidate experience, speed to scale), the demo form requires you to pick a staffing ATS, and press coverage of its $16 million Series A, led by Menlo Ventures in February 2025, described it as an AI virtual recruiter for recruiting firms. It fits best on high-volume commercial desks such as light industrial, clerical and healthcare staffing, where most of a recruiter's day is calling, texting and re-engaging people who are already in the database.

It is a poor fit for a corporate talent team hiring for its own company, because the whole commercial model is built around placements and staffing ATS integrations. An in-house team usually wants a predictable monthly cost and a scored interview it can hand to a hiring manager. For that job, compare it with our staffing agency interview software page or the wider automated interview software comparison.

Does ConverzAI conduct screening interviews?

Yes, as one part of a wider recruiting agent. ConverzAI says its Virtual Recruiter kicks off role-specific interviews on its own, pulling questions from the job details, and that its voice AI screens applicants by phone. One of its case studies quotes a staffing firm saying the platform screened 5,000 applicants in under three days.

What it does not publish is how those interviews are scored, whether you can set your own rubric and anchors, or what the recruiter sees afterwards. If the screening interview is the part you care about, ask to see a full scored transcript from a real role, and ask whether the scoring can be audited for adverse impact the way NYC Local Law 144 expects for an automated employment decision tool. Our own approach is on the candidate interview scoring page.

What does ConverzAI cost compared with tools that publish a price?

You cannot work out a ConverzAI figure until you have the per-placement rate, so work out the alternatives first and take them into the call. Among tools where an AI conducts the interview and the price is public, Interviewer.AI works out to $2.77 to $6.65 per interview, Ribbon AI to $2.00 to $4.99, and our own plans to $1.49 per interview on Starter, $0.80 on Growth and $0.50 on Scale at monthly prices, and half that billed yearly. Those are floors that assume you use every included interview.

The fair comparison is not price per interview against price per placement. It is total monthly cost against total monthly gross profit from the placements each tool helped make, plus the recruiter hours each one still needs. A per-placement vendor also does more than interview, so if you only need the interview conducted and scored, pay for that and keep sourcing and outreach where they are.

  • Interviewer.AI: about $2.77 to $6.65 per AI interview, from its published credits
  • Ribbon AI: about $2.00 to $4.99 per AI interview, billed annually
  • InterviewAgent.ai: $1.49, $0.80 and $0.50 per conducted interview at monthly prices, half that billed yearly
  • ConverzAI: a per-placement fee, unknown until quoted

What should you ask ConverzAI before you sign?

Because the fee is set per customer and per placement, the definitions in the contract decide what you pay. Go into the demo with your placements, starts and average gross profit per placement for each desk over the last twelve months, and the ATS you run.

  • What is the fee per placement, and is it fixed or a share of the bill rate or fee?
  • How is a placement attributed to the agent rather than to a recruiter?
  • Is there a minimum monthly spend, setup fee or annual commitment?
  • Does a candidate who falls off within the guarantee period still cost a fee?
  • Is the integration with our ATS included, and who maintains it?
  • How long are call recordings and transcripts kept, and can we set retention ourselves?

What are the alternatives to ConverzAI with published pricing?

For an AI that conducts and scores the first-round interview at a price on the page, Ribbon AI, Interviewer.AI, Fabric and InterviewAgent.ai all publish one. We start at $149 a month for up to 100 interviews, or $888 a year, with no cap on open roles, and the agent exports a scored, transcribed interview to your ATS. For recorded one-way video, Hireflix and Spark Hire print prices.

If you want the whole recruiter workflow automated for a staffing desk, the nearest rivals are Tenzo AI, HeyMilo, Glider AI and Paradox, and none of them publish a price either. Full detail is on our Tenzo AI pricing, Ribbon AI pricing and Glider AI pricing pages, and a staffing-specific comparison is in our guide to the ConverzAI alternatives.

Good questions

Questions about ConverzAI pricing

No. On October 12, 2026 converzai.com/pricing redirected to the homepage, and the only statement about cost on the site is that pricing is outcome based and you pay only for placements. The rate comes in a quote after a demo.
That is what its Virtual Recruiter page says: "Outcome-based pricing. Pay only for placements, nothing else!" It does not publish the fee, a minimum or how a placement is attributed, so get those three definitions in writing.
The site does not offer one. Every page leads to a demo request that asks for your company and your ATS. Ask the sales team about a pilot on one desk and get the terms in writing.
Its demo form lists Avionte, Bullhorn, Ceipal, Erecruit, JobDiva, LaborEdge, Salesforce, TargetRecruit, TempWorks and Tracker, plus custom ATS. Ask whether the integration is included in your quote.
No. Convai is a platform for 3D conversational game and virtual world characters. ConverzAI is an AI virtual recruiter for staffing firms. Prices published for Convai have nothing to do with ConverzAI.
For an AI that conducts and scores first-round interviews at a published flat price, InterviewAgent.ai starts at $149 a month for up to 100 interviews, or $888 a year. Whether that is cheaper than a per-placement fee depends on how many placements you make, so compare both against your monthly gross profit.
