Ribbon AI pricing and Ribbon AI cost per interview compared with 10 AI interview tools

The short answer

Ribbon AI pricing starts at $499 a month billed annually for the Growth plan, which includes 2 seats, 2 active roles and 100 AI interviews a month, then $4.00 for each extra interview. Business is $999 a month for 400 interviews and Scale is $1,999 a month for 1,000, with Enterprise quoted by sales. Month to month, the same plans cost $599, $1,199 and $2,399. We read every figure on ribbon.ai/pricing on October 6, 2026. That works out to $2.00 to $5.99 per included interview. InterviewAgent.ai runs a scored AI first-round interview from $149 a month, or $74 a month billed yearly, for up to 100 interviews.

Ribbon is one of the few AI interviewer vendors that prints its prices, and that deserves credit. Its AI recruiter runs voice and video screening interviews around the clock, reaches applicants by SMS, WhatsApp and email, and scores and ranks every interview for a recruiter to review. We build a competing AI interview agent, so we have an interest here, and we say so up front.

A published price is still not the same as a clear cost. Ribbon meters three things at once: seats, active roles and interviews, with an overage rate on top. This page sets out exactly what Ribbon publishes, read from its own pricing page on October 6, 2026, turns each plan into a cost per interview, and compares it with ten other AI interview and video screening tools on the same unit. Every figure is dated, and where we calculate something rather than quote it, we say so.

Why it works

What your team gets with Ribbon AI pricing

Talent acquisition manager comparing an interview software quote with a cost spreadsheet

Priced in public

Plans are published at $149, $399, $999 and $1,998 a month, or half that billed yearly, so you can work out cost per interview before a demo.

No cap on open roles

Plans count interviews and recruiter seats, so an agency or a multi-site employer with many open jobs does not jump a tier because of a role limit.

Scored, not just recorded

The agent asks open questions by voice or video, follows up when an answer is thin, and scores every answer against your rubric with the transcript attached.

What it handles

Interviewed, scored and shortlisted on autopilot

The agent invites each applicant, runs a role-tailored screening interview by voice or video, asks smart follow-ups, scores every answer against your rubric, and advances the strongest candidates into a ranked shortlist for your recruiters to review.

  • Interviews every applicant by voice or video on the candidate's schedule
  • Asks follow-up questions when an answer is vague or a claim needs testing
  • Scores every answer against anchors your team wrote, identically for each candidate
  • Returns a ranked shortlist with transcripts your recruiters can check in minutes
  • Costs $0.25 to $1.49 per interview on published plans, with no role cap

Why InterviewAgent.ai

One agent that runs the whole first round

Not a one-way video tool, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Interview, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the roles and rubric you already hire on.

Interviews every applicant

A role-tailored screening interview runs by voice or video, with smart follow-ups, on the candidate's schedule. Applicants consent and are told they are speaking with AI, so no qualified person waits days for a first call.

Scores to your rubric

Every answer is scored against the same structured rubric, with transcripts and highlights, so candidates are compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited against EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.

Ranks the shortlist

The strongest candidates are advanced into a ranked shortlist your recruiters review. The agent never auto-hires or rejects, it only surfaces who to talk to next, and your team makes every decision.

Eight of the eleven vendors publish a price on their own site and three do not. Cost per included interview divides the plan price by its monthly interview allowance and assumes you use the whole allowance, so it is a floor, not an average. We print a figure only when we read it on the vendor's own pages on the date shown. A vendor-by-vendor buying guide is in our article on Ribbon AI alternatives.

How much does Ribbon AI cost?

On October 6, 2026 ribbon.ai/pricing listed four plans, with an Annual toggle selected by default and a note that annual billing saves 20%. Growth, for small but mighty teams, is $499 a month billed annually. Business, which Ribbon marks as most popular, is $999. Scale, for high-volume organizations, is $1,999. Enterprise is custom, with tailored pricing and invoicing. Switch the toggle to Monthly and the three published plans read $599, $1,199 and $2,399 a month.

Billed annually means the year is committed. Growth is therefore a $5,988 annual contract, Business $11,988 and Scale $23,988. Each plan offers a 7-day free trial before that commitment starts. If your hiring is seasonal, price the monthly plan for the busy months against the annual plan for the whole year before you choose, because the 20% saving only pays if you use the plan all year.

  • Growth: $499 a month billed annually ($599 monthly), 2 seats, 2 active roles, 100 interviews, $4.00 overage
  • Business: $999 a month billed annually ($1,199 monthly), 5 seats, 5 active roles, 400 interviews, $3.00 overage
  • Scale: $1,999 a month billed annually ($2,399 monthly), 10 seats, 10 active roles, 1,000 interviews, $2.50 overage
  • Enterprise: custom seats and roles, unlimited interviews, SSO, SOC 2 and security reviews, dedicated CSM

What does a single Ribbon AI interview cost?

Divide each plan by its allowance. On annual billing a Growth interview costs $4.99, a Business interview $2.50 and a Scale interview $2.00. On monthly billing those become $5.99, $3.00 and $2.40. Those are floors: they assume you use every interview you paid for. A team on Growth that runs 60 interviews in a slow month has paid $8.32 for each of them.

Overage runs the other way. Past the allowance Ribbon charges $4.00, $3.00 or $2.50 per extra interview, depending on the plan. A Growth customer running 250 interviews a month pays $499 plus 150 times $4.00, or $1,099, which is more than the Business plan that would have covered 400. Model a normal month and a peak month before you pick a tier, because the right plan is the one that fits your peak without overage, not the one with the lowest sticker.

For comparison, our own plans cost $1.49 per interview on Starter, $0.80 on Growth and $0.50 on Scale at monthly prices, and half that billed yearly. How each answer is scored is set out on interview scorecard software.

What is an active role on Ribbon?

Ribbon caps how many roles can be live at once: 2 on Growth, 5 on Business and 10 on Scale. Read together with the seat count, that means a two-person team on Growth can screen for two open jobs at a time, however few interviews each job needs. Ribbon also says on its agency page that you can screen thousands of candidates in one click, so the cap is on jobs, not on applicants per job.

This is the line most buyers miss. A staffing agency or a multi-site employer with eight requisitions open and only 150 applicants a month is under the Business interview allowance but over its role cap, which pushes it to Scale at $1,999 a month. Ask Ribbon how it counts a role that is paused, closed or reopened, and whether the same job title at two locations counts once or twice. Our plans count interviews and seats only, with no limit on open roles, which is why the agency math on staffing agency software comes out differently.

Does Ribbon AI have a free trial?

Yes. Every published plan on the pricing page carries a Start 7-day free trial button, and the Enterprise plan goes through sales. Ribbon's older agency landing page also mentions trying the product with 50 interviews free and, in one place, a 14-day trial, so confirm which offer applies to your account before you plan a pilot around it.

Use the week like a purchase. Load one real role, send it to real applicants, and have a recruiter score the same people by hand so you can compare the ranking with Ribbon's. Track how many candidates finish the interview. If you want a scored first round to compare it against, the interview agent at the top of this page runs one on a role you name and returns the transcript, the scores and the ranking.

What do you get on every Ribbon plan?

More than most vendors at this price, and this is where Ribbon genuinely wins. Every published plan includes video and voice interviews in 10+ languages, SMS and email outreach to applicants, white-label branding, ATS integrations, an analytics dashboard and API access. The homepage adds WhatsApp outreach, cheating detection and an MCP server, and Ribbon also sells sourcing and ATS search. If your applicants ignore email and you need an AI that chases them by text before it interviews them, that bundle is the reason to buy Ribbon.

The differences between plans are capacity and support. Growth gets standard self-serve support and the three default voices. Business and Scale get all standard voices, Scale adds implementation help and custom ATS field mapping, and only Enterprise gets SSO through SAML, sub-teams, SOC 2 and security reviews, custom voices and a dedicated customer success manager with an SLA.

Is Ribbon AI compliant with NYC Local Law 144?

Ribbon publishes a bias audit page stating that it passed a Local Law 144 bias audit and offers the report on request. That is a useful document to collect, but under the New York City rule the duty to have a bias audit of the tool as you use it, and to give candidates notice, sits with the employer or employment agency, not the vendor. Ask whose data the audit used and whether it covers your job categories.

Security is the other procurement question. Ribbon lists SOC 2 and security reviews only on the Enterprise plan, so a buyer on Growth, Business or Scale should ask for the report directly rather than assume it. Our page on AI hiring compliance lists what to ask any AI interview vendor, Ribbon included.

What are the alternatives to Ribbon AI with published pricing?

Among AI interviewers that print a price, HappyFleet starts at $149 a month for 20 interviews, Classet at $249 a month billed annually for 50, InterviewFlowAI at $59 for 20 credits, and HireFoundry at $99 a month billed annually for 1,000 interview minutes. We start at $149 a month for 100 interviews, or $888 a year. HeyMilo, Alex and Tenzo AI do not publish a price.

If you do not need the AI to conduct the interview and are happy for your team to watch recordings, Hireflix ($75 a month billed yearly) and Hirevire ($49 a month) are cheaper still, but someone has to watch every answer. A vendor-by-vendor guide with who each tool suits is in our article on Ribbon AI alternatives, and the wider field is on AI interview software. Our own plans are on the pricing page.

How do you choose the right Ribbon AI plan?

Start from three numbers you already have: how many applicants you want interviewed in a normal month, how many in your busiest month, and how many jobs are open at the same time. Pick the lowest plan whose interview allowance covers the busy month and whose role cap covers your open jobs. If those two point to different plans, the higher one is your real price.

Then decide on billing. Annual saves 20% but commits you for a year, so it suits steady hiring. Monthly costs more but lets you drop a plan after a seasonal push. Finally, ask whether unused interviews roll over, because if they do not, a plan sized for your peak wastes money every quiet month.
