VidCruiter pricing: what VidCruiter costs, how it gets quoted, and priced alternatives

The short answer

VidCruiter does not publish a price. Its pricing page is a form headed REQUEST PRICING that carries no dollar figure at all, which we confirmed by reading the page source on September 3, 2026. The reason is structural rather than evasive: VidCruiter sells roughly fifteen products, and its own navigation states that all products can be purchased as stand-alone products, so there is no single thing to put a price on. Of the fourteen vendors compared below, eight publish a real figure on their own site and VidCruiter is not one of them.

Last updated September 2026

Nobody searches for what VidCruiter costs out of curiosity. You are building a budget line, comparing two finalists, or trying to work out whether a demo is worth ninety minutes of your week. The frustrating part is that the answer is not on VidCruiter's site, and the numbers you find elsewhere disagree with each other by more than an order of magnitude.

So this page does two things. It states exactly what VidCruiter publishes, read off the vendor's own pages on September 3, 2026, and it puts fourteen interview and screening vendors side by side with every published figure dated. Eight of them print a number you can budget against today. We would rather tell you that VidCruiter is not one of them than invent a figure and have you take it into a negotiation.

Why it works

What your team gets with VidCruiter pricing

Priced in public

Our plans are published rather than quoted after a discovery call, so you can size the line item before you spend an hour on a demo. We also say plainly that these are launch prices and the product is not open for purchase yet.

Conducted, not just recorded

The agent runs the first-round interview itself, asks its own follow-ups and scores each answer, so the output is a ranked shortlist rather than a folder of recordings somebody still has to watch.

Human final call

Candidates are advanced to recruiter review, never auto-rejected, with consent, AI disclosure and bias auditing aligned to EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.

What it handles

Interviewed, scored and shortlisted on autopilot

The agent invites each applicant, runs a role-tailored screening interview by voice or video, asks smart follow-ups, scores every answer against your rubric, and advances the strongest candidates into a ranked shortlist for your recruiters to review.

  • Interviews every applicant on the req without a recruiter attending
  • Asks unscripted follow-ups when an answer is vague or a claim needs testing
  • Scores answers against the rubric you set, identically for every candidate
  • Returns a ranked shortlist with transcripts and highlights, not hours of footage
  • Publishes what it costs instead of quoting you after a discovery call

Why InterviewAgent.ai

One agent that runs the whole first round

Not a one-way video tool, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Interview, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the roles and rubric you already hire on.

Interviews every applicant

A role-tailored screening interview runs by voice or video, with smart follow-ups, on the candidate's schedule. Applicants consent and are told they are speaking with AI, so no qualified person waits days for a first call.

Scores to your rubric

Every answer is scored against the same structured rubric, with transcripts and highlights, so candidates are compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited against EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.

Ranks the shortlist

The strongest candidates are advanced into a ranked shortlist your recruiters review. The agent never auto-hires or rejects, it only surfaces who to talk to next, and your team makes every decision.

Eight of the fourteen vendors above publish a price on their own site and six do not. We only print a figure we read on the vendor's own pricing page, in US dollars, on a date we state. Vendors in this category change tiers quietly and third-party roundups copy each other for months afterwards, so a dated reading is worth more than a confident summary. The full category audit is on AI interview software pricing.

How much does VidCruiter cost?

There is no published answer. We read vidcruiter.com/pricing on September 3, 2026 and the page returned a form headed REQUEST PRICING with no dollar amount in the markup. The page carries roughly 628 characters of visible text, which is to say it is a lead capture form rather than a pricing page. The homepage contains no dollar figure either.

You will find specific VidCruiter numbers on review aggregators and comparison blogs. Treat them with care. The estimates we found on September 3, 2026 ranged from a low double-digit monthly figure for a single user up to five figures a year, a spread of well over an order of magnitude for the same product. None of them cite VidCruiter. They are reconstructions from anonymized contract data and one-off buyer reports, and several aggregators visibly copy each other. Taking one of those numbers into a budget meeting is worse than admitting you do not know yet.

The honest way to build the line item is to price the vendors that do publish, treat that band as the market reference, and make VidCruiter justify any premium over it during the demo. The table above gives you eight dated figures to anchor on.

Why does VidCruiter not show a price?

Because there is no single product to price. VidCruiter's own navigation lists roughly fifteen separately sold products, including Pre-recorded Video Interviews, Live Video Interviews, Interview Scheduling, Structured Interviews, an Interview Management System, AI Interview Scoring, AI Interview Notes, AI Fraud Detection, Interview Intelligence, Automated Interview Guides, Automated Reference Checks, Video Proctoring, Skills Testing and an Applicant Tracking System. Beneath that list sits a line we read verbatim on September 3, 2026: all products can be purchased as stand-alone products.

That is a genuine explanation rather than an excuse, and it changes how you should shop. A catalog priced this way means your quote is a function of which modules you take, so two companies of identical size can be quoted very different numbers. It also means the number you are first shown is rarely the number you end up paying, because modules get added during implementation.

It has a practical consequence worth planning for. Before the demo, write down the two or three jobs you actually need done. If what you need is a recorded first round plus a consistent score, you are buying two modules, not a platform, and you should refuse to be quoted for the platform.

What is included in VidCruiter pricing?

Whatever you negotiate into it. The products above are grouped on VidCruiter's site under interviewing, AI and hiring, and it markets industry configurations for K-12, admissions, hourly hiring, contact centers, public sector and manufacturing. Public sector and K-12 buyers are a visible focus, which fits a product built around structured, auditable, panel-scored interviews.

The thing to pin down in writing is the unit of pricing. Ask whether you are charged per recruiter seat, per hiring manager, per job, per candidate, per interview or per year of platform access, and ask what happens when you exceed it. Quote-only vendors vary enormously on this, and the unit matters more than the headline number. A per-candidate model and a per-seat model that quote the same first-year figure will diverge sharply in year two if your hiring volume moves.

Ask about implementation separately. Modular platforms in this category commonly carry a one-time configuration and training cost that is quoted apart from the subscription, and it is easy to leave a demo having discussed only the recurring figure.

Does VidCruiter conduct the interview?

Not as a conversation. VidCruiter's recorded format works the way the rest of the one-way category works: you set the questions, the candidate records answers to camera on their own time, and your team reviews them. It also sells live video interviewing, where a human on your side runs the call. What VidCruiter adds on top is AI Interview Scoring and AI Interview Notes, which evaluate and structure the answers after they exist.

That distinction decides which shortlist VidCruiter belongs on. If the bottleneck is that your recruiters are spending their week running the same fifteen minute screen, a recorded platform moves the work rather than removing it, because somebody still watches the footage. If the bottleneck is that scoring is inconsistent between reviewers, scoring automation is aimed squarely at your problem.

An AI agent that conducts the interview sits in a different group. It asks the questions itself, follows up when an answer is thin, and hands back a ranked shortlist rather than a folder of recordings. We build one, so treat that as a disclosed interest and check the claim rather than taking it on faith. The honest comparison is on our VidCruiter alternative page, and the wider category is covered on video interview software.

Is VidCruiter worth the cost?

For a public sector, K-12 or regulated employer that has to defend a hiring decision months later, a platform built around structured interview software with panel scoring, reference checking and a full audit trail earns its money in the documentation alone. That is a real buying reason and it is where VidCruiter is strongest.

For a fifteen person startup filling four roles a quarter, a modular enterprise catalog is likely to be more platform than the problem deserves, and the published vendors in the table will cover the same first round for a fraction of the outlay. Hireflix at $75 a month and Spark Hire at $249 a month billed annually both put a recorded first round in place without a procurement cycle.

The middle case is the hard one, and it turns on volume. Work out what you currently spend on the first round in recruiter hours, then ask each vendor to quote against that number. If a vendor will not put a figure in front of you before you have spent an hour on a discovery call, that is information too, and you are allowed to weigh it.

How do you budget for a quote-only interview platform?

Anchor first, then negotiate. Take the published band from the table above, decide where your headcount and hiring volume place you inside it, and walk into the call with that number written down. Vendors who quote rather than publish are pricing against your perceived budget, so arriving without an anchor is expensive.

Then get four things in writing before you sign: the unit of pricing, the overage rate when you exceed it, the one-time implementation and training cost, and the renewal uplift. Those four turn a headline figure into a three-year cost, and the gap between the two is where most buyers in this category get surprised.

Finally, price the alternative of doing nothing. If your first round costs your team forty recruiter hours a month, that is the real budget you are reallocating, and it is usually a larger number than any of the subscriptions on this page.

Good questions

Questions about VidCruiter pricing

No. As of September 3, 2026 the vidcruiter.com pricing page is a form headed REQUEST PRICING, and there is no dollar figure anywhere in the page source. The homepage carries none either. Any specific VidCruiter price you find online came from a third party rather than from VidCruiter, and the third-party estimates we checked disagree with one another by more than an order of magnitude.
VidCruiter does not disclose an annual figure and we will not invent one. Because it sells roughly fifteen products that can each be bought stand-alone, an annual cost is a function of which modules you take, so no single number would be true for two different buyers. The practical approach is to price the vendors that publish, treat that band as your reference, and make VidCruiter quote against it.
Neither company publishes a price, so an honest comparison is not possible from public information. We read both pricing pages on September 3, 2026: VidCruiter shows a request form, and HireVue names Essential and Premium packages with the figure given after a demo. If you are comparing the two, request both quotes on the same module scope and the same hiring volume, otherwise the numbers will not be comparable. Our dated reading of HireVue is on HireVue pricing.
Among vendors that publish a price, Hireflix is the lowest entry point in our table at $75 a month billed yearly for companies under 50 staff, read on September 2, 2026. Willo Lite at $59 per live role a month can be cheaper for a single open role but caps at five roles. Cheapest is rarely the right test, though: the recorded platforms are cheaper precisely because a human still watches the footage and scores it.
Yes. VidCruiter lists AI Interview Scoring, AI Interview Notes and AI Fraud Detection among its products, which we read from its site on September 3, 2026. That is scoring and structuring applied to answers a candidate has already recorded, rather than an agent conducting the conversation. If you hire in New York City, note that automated scoring which substantially assists a hiring decision can fall under Local Law 144 and its bias audit duty regardless of where your vendor is based.
Because a page with a number on it ranks better than a page admitting there is not one. Those figures are reconstructed from anonymized contract data, single buyer reports and each other, and they go stale silently when a vendor changes its tiers. We have watched an entire third-party ecosystem publish a vendor lineup that no longer existed for months. Trust the vendor page, on a date, or trust nothing.
