Talview pricing: Talview cost, the candidate minimum, and priced alternatives

The short answer

Talview does not publish a price. Its pricing page, which we read from the page source on September 27, 2026, is a demo request form plus five answers: pricing is unit-based, with a unit assigned to each feature; you can buy single features or bundles; a pilot may carry charges above 10 candidates; the minimum commitment is typically about 150 to 200 candidates; and Microsoft customers can pay with Azure credits. There is no dollar figure anywhere on the page. Of the fifteen vendors compared below, nine publish a real price and Talview is not one of them.

If you are looking up what Talview costs, you probably already have a reason. Maybe Ivy, its AI interviewer, came up in a vendor review, or your company already uses Talview for proctored exams and someone asked whether the same contract could cover hiring. Either way, finance wants a number and Talview's site does not give one.

What it does give is more useful than most quote-only vendors offer: it tells you how the price is built. This page sets out exactly what Talview states, read from its own pages on September 27, 2026, explains what a unit-based model with a 150 to 200 candidate minimum means for a US team hiring at different volumes, and puts fifteen interview vendors side by side with every published figure dated. We sell an AI interview agent ourselves, so treat that as a disclosed interest and check every row against the vendor.

Why it works

What your team gets with talview pricing

Priced in public

Plans are published at $149, $399 and $999 a month, so you can size the line item and work out cost per interview before you spend an hour on a demo.

No candidate minimum

Pick the plan that fits this quarter's volume, move up or down as hiring changes, and cancel if it stops being worth it. No 150-candidate floor to clear first.

Scores what candidates say

Every answer is scored against your written rubric from the transcript, not from facial or non-verbal cues, and candidates go to recruiter review, never auto-rejected.

What it handles

Interviewed, scored and shortlisted on autopilot

The agent invites each applicant, runs a role-tailored screening interview by voice or video, asks smart follow-ups, scores every answer against your rubric, and advances the strongest candidates into a ranked shortlist for your recruiters to review.

  • Interviews every applicant on the req by voice or video without a recruiter attending
  • Asks follow-up questions when an answer is vague or a claim needs testing
  • Scores answers against the rubric you set, identically for every candidate
  • Returns a ranked shortlist with transcripts and highlights your ATS can take
  • Publishes what it costs instead of quoting you by the unit after a discovery call

Why InterviewAgent.ai

One agent that runs the whole first round

Not a one-way video tool, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Interview, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the roles and rubric you already hire on.

Interviews every applicant

A role-tailored screening interview runs by voice or video, with smart follow-ups, on the candidate's schedule. Applicants consent and are told they are speaking with AI, so no qualified person waits days for a first call.

Scores to your rubric

Every answer is scored against the same structured rubric, with transcripts and highlights, so candidates are compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited against EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.

Ranks the shortlist

The strongest candidates are advanced into a ranked shortlist your recruiters review. The agent never auto-hires or rejects, it only surfaces who to talk to next, and your team makes every decision.

Nine of the fifteen vendors above publish a price on their own site and six do not. We only print a figure we read on the vendor's own pricing page, on the date stated, and Willo is listed in the currency its page shows by default. Talview is the only quote-only vendor in the table that states its minimum commitment in public. For the category as a whole, see our audit of AI interview software pricing.

How much does Talview cost?

Talview does not say. We loaded talview.com/en/pricing on September 27, 2026 and read the source: the page asks you to fill in a form so that a Solutions Expert can contact you, and it carries no plan names, no per-candidate rate and no dollar sign. The navigation button labelled Try for Free goes to the same demo request address. There is no self-serve checkout for any Talview product and no list of Talview plans to compare, so any Talview price you see quoted elsewhere was not published by Talview.

What the page does publish is the shape of a quote, and that is worth more than a guessed figure. It says the pricing model is unit-based and that each feature has a specific unit assigned to it, so you pay for what you use. It says you can buy individual features or bundled packages. It says a pilot may carry additional charges above 10 candidates, and that a minimum commitment of approximately 150 to 200 candidates is typically required to get started. Put together, a Talview quote is a count of candidates multiplied through the features you choose, with a floor.

Aggregator sites print Talview ranges, and none of them trace to Talview. We are not going to repeat them. The practical way to build the budget line is to price the vendors that publish, take that band as your reference, and make Talview quote against it on the same candidate count. The table above gives you nine dated figures, from $59 a month for a pilot plan to $999 a month for a full high-volume tier.

How does Talview pricing work?

By the unit, per feature. Talview sells a long product list across two businesses. On the hiring side the navigation lists Ivy, its AI interviewer, plus intelligent scheduling, candidate verification, interview proctoring, live interview rooms, an interview builder, interview insights, workflow automation and telephone screening. On the testing side it sells Alvy, an AI proctoring agent, along with automated, live and record-and-review proctoring, a secure browser, ID verification, an online exam platform and bookings and payments for exam candidates.

Because each of those carries its own unit, the price of a Talview contract depends on which features touch each candidate. A first-round interview with Ivy alone is one unit per candidate. The same interview with candidate verification and interview proctoring switched on is several. That is a fair model for a buyer who knows exactly what they need, and a confusing one for a buyer comparing it with a flat monthly plan, because the two quotes are not in the same currency until you convert them to cost per completed interview.

So convert them. Talview pricing per candidate is the figure to ask for: the all-in cost for the exact bundle you would run, then divide any flat-plan vendor's monthly fee by the interviews it includes. Our Starter plan, for example, is $149 for up to 100 interviews a month, which is $1.49 an interview if you use them all, and Scale is $999 for up to 2,000, or about 50 cents. Once every quote is expressed per completed interview, the comparison becomes honest.

  • Unit-based: each feature has its own unit, so the bundle you choose sets the price per candidate
  • Single features or bundled packages, across interviewing and proctoring
  • Pilot: extra charges may apply above 10 candidates
  • Minimum commitment: about 150 to 200 candidates to start
  • Microsoft customers can pay with Azure credits

What is the Talview minimum commitment?

Talview's own answer, on its pricing page, is that a minimum commitment of approximately 150 to 200 candidates is typically required to get started. That is unusually candid for a quote-only vendor, and it is the single most useful number for a small or mid-sized US team, because it tells you whether a contract is even the right shape before you book a call.

Read it against your hiring plan. A team filling five hourly roles a quarter with 30 applicants each sees 600 candidates a year, and a 150 to 200 floor is easy to clear. A startup hiring three engineers a year from a pool of 40 each is below it, and would be paying for interviews it never runs. The pilot line matters too: charges may start above 10 candidates, so decide in advance how many people you will put through a trial and on which role.

Ask one question the page does not answer: whether the minimum resets annually or covers the contract term, and whether unused units roll forward. With a flat monthly plan the equivalent risk is paying for a month you did not hire in, which is why our plans can be moved down or cancelled as your volume changes. Neither model is wrong. They suit different hiring patterns, and you should pick the one that matches yours.

How much does Talview Ivy cost?

Talview does not break out a price for Ivy either, so there is no separate Talview Ivy pricing or Talview AI interviewer pricing to set against other agents. Its product page, read September 27, 2026, describes Ivy as an agentic AI interviewer that conducts structured behavioral and competency-based interviews, asks contextual follow-up questions in real time, supports multiple languages and customizable personas, and produces reports with transcripts and scoring metrics after each interview. It says Ivy integrates with ATS platforms and calendar systems and is backed by SOC 2 Type II certification. The call to action is a demo and an ROI calculator.

Two details on that page matter for pricing and for procurement. First, Talview says Ivy is purpose-built for high-volume recruitment in BPOs, IT services, contact centers and technology-driven organizations, which is where its volume-based floor makes most sense. Second, it says Ivy not only captures verbal responses but interprets non-verbal cues. For a US employer that is a compliance question before it is a feature. Illinois requires notice, an explanation of how the AI works and the candidate's consent before AI analyzes a recorded video interview, and Maryland requires a signed waiver before facial recognition is used in an interview.

Neither rule forbids the product, but both add process, and NYC Local Law 144 applies its bias audit duty to any automated tool whose score substantially assists a hiring decision for a New York City job. Ask Talview, as you should ask us, for the current bias audit summary and for a switch that turns off any non-verbal analysis for candidates in those states. Our position on scoring only what the candidate says is set out on AI hiring compliance.

Is Talview free to try?

Not in the self-serve sense. The Try for Free button in Talview's navigation links to its request-a-demo address, and its pricing FAQ describes the free option as a product walkthrough so you can explore the features before you buy. That is a guided demo, which is useful, but it is not an account you can run candidates through on your own.

The paid pilot is the real trial. Talview says pilot charges may apply for more than 10 candidates, varying with the number of candidates and the features selected. Plan the pilot as if it were a purchase: one real requisition, a written rubric agreed before the first interview, and a comparison against how your recruiters would have ranked the same candidates.

Whichever vendor you pilot, that last step is the one that settles it. If you want to see a scored first round before any call, the interview agent at the top of this page runs one on a role you name and returns the transcript, the scores and the ranking.

Can you pay for Talview with Azure credits?

Yes, according to Talview. Its pricing page states that if you are currently a Microsoft customer, you can use your Azure credits to acquire any Talview solution. For a large US enterprise with an existing Microsoft commitment, that can move the purchase out of the recruiting budget and into spend the company has already agreed to, which is a genuine buying advantage and worth raising with your IT and procurement teams early.

It does not change the price, only who pays it and from which pool. Ask Talview for the figure in dollars anyway, so you can compare it with vendors that are paid by card or invoice, and check with your Microsoft account team whether the credits you hold are eligible for this kind of purchase before you rely on them.

What are the alternatives to Talview with published pricing?

Split them by who does the talking. Hireflix at $75 a month, Spark Hire from $249 and Willo from 49 pounds per role are one-way video tools: candidates record answers and someone on your team still watches and scores them. They are cheap because the review labor stays with you. Fabric, InterviewFlowAI and TalentSprout run the conversation with an AI agent and publish plans between $59 and $499 a month, often with per-interview credits on top, so read the overage rate as carefully as the headline.

If you use Talview mainly for proctored assessments and are looking at Ivy as an add-on, the comparison is different: you are weighing a bundle discount against a best-of-breed interviewer. If you only need the first-round interview, a dedicated product with a published price usually wins on both cost and time to launch. Our guide to Talview alternatives compares the field on who conducts the interview and what each tool is built for.

We build an AI interview agent too. Ours is priced in public at $149, $399 and $999 a month on our pricing page, interviews every applicant by voice or video, asks its own follow-up questions, scores on what the candidate says rather than facial cues, and hands back a ranked shortlist with transcripts. The wider category is laid out on AI interview software, and if HireVue is also on your list, our reading of HireVue pricing covers the other large vendor that quotes rather than publishes.

How do you negotiate a Talview quote?

Anchor first, then make the units visible. Decide your annual candidate count per role family, pick the published vendor in the table that best matches your volume, and write down what that vendor would cost per completed interview. Walk into the call with that number. Quote-only pricing is set against your perceived budget, and an anchor is the only defense.

Then get five things in writing: the unit price per candidate for the exact bundle you will run, the minimum commitment and whether unused units roll over, the pilot charge and whether it is credited against the contract, any implementation or integration fee for your ATS, and the renewal uplift. Those five turn a unit quote into a three-year cost you can compare with a flat plan.

Finally, price the status quo. If recruiters spend twenty minutes on each of 300 first-round screens a month, that is 100 hours a month you are reallocating, and at a loaded recruiter rate it is usually larger than any line item on this page. Our breakdown of candidate screening software shows how teams run that math before they sign.

Good questions

Questions about talview pricing

No. As of September 27, 2026 Talview's pricing page is a demo request form with a short FAQ and no dollar figure. It does publish how pricing works: unit-based per feature, single features or bundles, pilot charges above 10 candidates, a minimum of about 150 to 200 candidates, and payment with Azure credits for Microsoft customers.
Talview does not disclose a per-candidate figure and we will not invent one. Because each feature has its own unit, the cost per candidate depends on the bundle: Ivy alone costs less per candidate than Ivy plus verification and proctoring. Ask for the all-in unit price for your exact bundle and compare it with the published vendors in our table on a cost-per-interview basis.
Talview states that a minimum commitment of approximately 150 to 200 candidates is typically required to get started. Teams that screen fewer candidates than that in a year should check whether unused units roll over before signing, or look at a vendor with a monthly plan they can cancel.
Neither publishes a price, so an honest answer is not possible from public information. On September 26 and 27, 2026 HireVue's pricing page showed no plans or figures and Talview's showed a demo form. Request both quotes on the same candidate count and the same features, and compare them per completed interview. Our reading of HireVue is on HireVue pricing.
Yes. Talview sells Ivy, which its product page describes as an agentic AI interviewer that runs structured behavioral and competency-based interviews, asks follow-up questions in real time, supports multiple languages and produces transcripts and scoring reports. The page also says Ivy interprets non-verbal cues, which brings Illinois and Maryland video-interview rules into scope for US employers.
Both. Talview sells an exam and proctoring line, led by its Alvy AI proctoring agent, to certification bodies, universities and testing programs, and an interviewing line, led by Ivy, to employers. The two share a platform, which is why its pricing is built from per-feature units rather than a single hiring plan.
