HireFoundry pricing: HireFoundry Interview Agent pricing tiers, cost per interview and HireFoundry alternatives
The short answer
HireFoundry publishes three plans: Starter at $99 a month and Premium at $999 a month, both billed annually and paid upfront after a 30-day trial, and a custom Enterprise plan that starts at 20,000 interview minutes a month. Every plan has unlimited seats, so you pay for interview minutes rather than recruiters. The Interview Agent guides a recruiter who runs the call; it does not conduct the interview itself, so recruiter time is a cost on top of the subscription.
HireFoundry is one of the few AI interview vendors that puts real numbers on its pricing page, which makes it easy to budget and easy to misread. The plans are sold in interview minutes, the seats are unlimited, and the product sits beside a recruiter during a live call rather than replacing the call. Those three facts decide what HireFoundry actually costs you, and none of them is visible in the headline $99.
This page states what HireFoundry publishes, read from hirefoundry.ai on September 21, 2026, works out what a minute buys in practice, and lines HireFoundry up against ten interview vendors with every published figure dated. We sell a product in this table, so we have tried to be specific about where HireFoundry is the better purchase.

Why it works
What your team gets with hirefoundry pricing
Priced per interview, billed monthly
Our plans are published and billed monthly or yearly, with no annual upfront commitment required to start, so the line item is a known cost per conducted interview.
The agent runs the call
The agent conducts the first-round interview itself, asks its own follow-ups and scores each answer, so no recruiter hour is spent on the screen and the output is a ranked shortlist.
Human final call
Candidates are advanced to recruiter review, never auto-rejected, with consent, AI disclosure and bias auditing aligned to EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.
What it handles
Interviewed, scored and shortlisted on autopilot
The agent invites each applicant, runs a role-tailored screening interview by voice or video, asks smart follow-ups, scores every answer against your rubric, and advances the strongest candidates into a ranked shortlist for your recruiters to review.
- Interviews every applicant on the req without a recruiter attending
- Asks unscripted follow-ups when an answer is vague or a claim needs testing
- Scores answers against the rubric you set, identically for every candidate
- Returns a ranked shortlist with transcripts and the evidence behind each score
- Publishes a monthly price instead of an annual upfront contract
Why InterviewAgent.ai
One agent that runs the whole first round
Not a one-way video tool, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Interview, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the roles and rubric you already hire on.
Interviews every applicant
A role-tailored screening interview runs by voice or video, with smart follow-ups, on the candidate's schedule. Applicants consent and are told they are speaking with AI, so no qualified person waits days for a first call.
Scores to your rubric
Every answer is scored against the same structured rubric, with transcripts and highlights, so candidates are compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited against EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144.
Ranks the shortlist
The strongest candidates are advanced into a ranked shortlist your recruiters review. The agent never auto-hires or rejects, it only surfaces who to talk to next, and your team makes every decision.

Nine of the eleven vendors above publish a price on their own site, and BrightHire and HireVue do not. We only print a figure we read on the vendor's own pricing page, in US dollars, on a date we state, and we leave a row on its older date rather than pretend we re-read it. The wider category audit is on what AI interview software costs.
How much does HireFoundry cost?
HireFoundry costs $99 a month on Starter and $999 a month on Premium, both billed annually, which is $1,188 and $11,988 a year paid upfront. Enterprise is quoted and starts at 20,000 interview minutes a month. We read those figures on hirefoundry.ai on September 21, 2026, both on the plan cards and in the pricing FAQ, which states the same numbers in words.
Each plan card also carries a Get 25% Off badge. The page does not say what the discount is taken from or how long it lasts, so treat the $99 and $999 as the figures to budget against and ask in the demo whether they are the discounted or the list price. That question matters more than usual here, because the contract is annual and paid in advance.
The HireFoundry plans differ mainly in volume. Starter includes 1,000 interview minutes a month, unlimited seats and ATS integration. Premium adds 10,000 minutes and unlimited custom resume scoring. Enterprise adds 20,000 minutes to start, SSO, role-based access control and customized onboarding. Overage terms are not published; the FAQ says they are set in your order form.
What are HireFoundry Interview Agent pricing tiers for enterprise recruiter seats?
There are no per-seat tiers. HireFoundry pricing tiers are built on interview minutes, and every plan, including the $99 Starter, comes with unlimited seats. An enterprise team with forty recruiters does not pay forty times anything; it pays for the minutes those forty people spend in interviews with the agent attached. That is genuinely unusual in this category and it is the strongest part of the HireFoundry offer for large recruiting teams.
What changes at enterprise level is control rather than headcount. The Enterprise plan card lists SSO and role-based access control, while the pricing FAQ says SSO and role-based access are available on Premium and Enterprise. If you need SSO, confirm in writing which plan your contract actually includes it on. Enterprise starts at 20,000 interview minutes a month, with volume set in the order form.
What does a HireFoundry interview minute actually buy?
A minute of a live interview that a recruiter is running. The HireFoundry Interview Agent joins recruiter-led calls on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams as a named participant, suggests candidate-specific questions and follow-ups while the conversation happens, and afterwards organizes it into competency findings, score explanations and transcript evidence. The recruiter chooses every question. HireFoundry says so plainly on its own page, and it is a real design choice rather than a limitation it hides.
The arithmetic follows from that. At 30 minutes per screen, the 1,000 minutes on Starter cover about 33 interviews a month, which is roughly $3.00 per interview in software. Premium works out almost identically: 10,000 minutes is about 333 half-hour interviews at about $3.00 each. The per-minute rate barely moves between the two plans, so Premium is a volume and resume-scoring purchase, not a discount.
The larger cost sits outside the invoice. Those 33 interviews still take a recruiter about 16.5 hours a month, and 333 of them take about 166 hours, which is a full-time recruiter. If your bottleneck is recruiter hours on the first round, an interview minute on a copilot does not remove them. If your bottleneck is that non-specialist recruiters run weak technical screens, it addresses exactly that.
- Starter: 1,000 minutes, about 33 half-hour interviews, about $3.00 each in software
- Premium: 10,000 minutes, about 333 half-hour interviews, about $3.00 each in software
- Recruiter time is additional: 30 minutes per interview on every plan
- InterviewAgent.ai Starter: 100 conducted interviews for $149, $1.49 each, with no recruiter on the call
How do HireFoundry's Interview Agent and Metaview differ in evidence-backed follow-up rationale?
The difference is timing. HireFoundry vs Metaview comes down to whether the reasoning arrives during the call or after it. HireFoundry describes its Interview Agent as showing what an answer demonstrated, what may still be missing and why a follow-up could help, live, while the recruiter can still ask it. Metaview describes notes, scorecards and follow-ups handled automatically, which is a record of the conversation built for the debrief rather than a prompt inside it.
Both attach evidence to the transcript, and both leave the decision with a human. The practical question for a buyer is who needs help. If your recruiters are experienced and your problem is admin, notes and a scorecard after every call from Metaview at $60 per user a month is the cheaper, narrower purchase. If they are generalists interviewing for roles they do not understand, live follow-up rationale is the thing HireFoundry is selling. We keep the full Metaview field on Metaview competitors and the head-to-head on Metaview alternative.
What are good alternatives to HireFoundry for structured interview guidance and adaptive follow-ups?
The HireFoundry alternatives split by who is on the call. If you want to keep a recruiter running the interview and add structure around it, the closest alternatives are Metaview and BrightHire for interview intelligence, and Honeit for recruiter phone screens captured and structured afterwards at $110 per recruiter seat. None of them publishes live follow-up guidance as the core product the way HireFoundry does, which is the honest reason HireFoundry has a niche.
If you would rather the first round did not need a recruiter at all, the alternatives are AI interviewers that conduct the conversation and adapt their own follow-ups: InterviewAgent.ai, Fabric, and HireVue on some configurations. Here structure is enforced by the agent rather than suggested to a person, because it asks the same competencies of every candidate and scores each answer against anchors you wrote. The rubric side is on structured interview software and candidate interview scoring.
Recorded one-way tools such as Spark Hire, Hireflix and Willo are also HireFoundry competitors on price, but not on follow-ups. A recorded answer cannot be followed up, which is the specific thing HireFoundry was built to improve.
Is HireFoundry worth the cost?
For the right team, yes, and the right team is easy to describe. You run live, recruiter-led screens, your recruiters interview across technical or specialist roles they cannot judge from experience, you have many recruiters and do not want to pay per seat, and you use one of the thirty ATSs it lists, which include Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS and SAP SuccessFactors, and agency systems such as Bullhorn, JobDiva and Loxo. For a staffing firm with twenty generalist recruiters placing engineers, that is a strong fit at a price most competitors will not publish.
It is the wrong purchase when the first round is simply too big for your team. A copilot makes each call better; it does not reduce the number of calls. If 400 applicants need a first conversation this month, the constraint is hours, and an agent that conducts the screen and returns a ranked shortlist changes the unit of work. That is what we sell, from $149 a month for 100 interviews, billed monthly if you prefer, and you can compare it on our pricing page.
What should you check before signing a HireFoundry contract?
Four things, all stated in HireFoundry's own FAQ. Plans are annual contracts billed upfront after the 30-day trial. You can cancel a future renewal, but annual fees paid upfront are non-refundable unless your order form says otherwise. Quarterly or monthly payment schedules can be negotiated and written into the order form. Overage on interview minutes is also set in the order form rather than published.
So negotiate the order form, not the plan card. Ask for the overage rate per minute, what happens to unused minutes, whether the trial usage counts, and whether the Get 25% Off applies to renewal. Also note one product limit the vendor states itself: the Interview Agent currently supports one recruiter-led interview round per candidate, with multi-round continuity described as planned. If your process has two screening rounds, that affects how much of it the agent sees.
