Humanly Alternatives: 9 AI Interview Tools Compared on Price

Humanly now sells five products and publishes no price, so the right alternative depends on which piece you actually need. Nine Humanly competitors compared on who conducts the first round and what each one charges, read from the vendor on the date shown.

The best Humanly alternative depends on which of Humanly's five products you were actually going to use. If you only need the first-round interview taken off your recruiters, a dedicated AI interview agent with a published price does that job for less commitment than a five-product suite. If you need high-volume chat scheduling at enterprise scale, Paradox is the closest like-for-like rival. Of the nine Humanly competitors compared below, five publish a price on their own site and four do not, and Humanly itself publishes none.

Most lists of Humanly AI alternatives were written when Humanly was a chat recruiter, and they compare it with other chatbots. That is out of date. When we read humanly.io on September 26, 2026, Humanly sold an AI Recruiter, an AI Interviewer that runs structured interviews over chat, voice or video, an AI Notetaker for calls your recruiters run, a Talent CRM, and an applicant tracking system built for frontline and hourly hiring. A team looking for alternatives to Humanly, whether leaving it or deciding against it, is usually replacing one or two of those pieces, not all five.

This guide is for the person who signs the contract at a US employer hiring hourly or high-volume roles: a talent acquisition lead, an HR director at a multi-location operator, or an operations leader who owns hiring because nobody else does. We build one of the products in the table, so treat that as a disclosed interest. Every price below was read from the vendor's own site on the date stated, and where a vendor publishes nothing, the row says so rather than repeating an aggregator estimate.

Why do teams look for Humanly alternatives?

Three reasons come up, and they point to different replacements. The first is price visibility. Humanly publishes no price, and its pricing URL returned a Page not found screen when we checked, so a team that needs a budget line before a demo has nothing to work with. We set out exactly what Humanly does and does not publish on Humanly pricing.

The second is scope. A suite that includes its own ATS and CRM makes sense if you are replacing your ATS. If you are happy with Workday, UKG or iCIMS and only want screening fixed, you are negotiating around modules you will not use. The third is the interview itself. Some teams want a deeper first round than a qualification chat, with follow-up questions and a scored transcript a hiring manager can trust, and that is a narrower product than a recruiting suite.

Humanly competitors compared on price and on who runs the interview

The single most useful column here is the last one. Humanly competitors split into tools where an AI conducts the conversation, tools where the candidate records answers alone, and tools that qualify and schedule without interviewing at depth. Mixing those up is the main reason these contracts get cancelled at renewal.

Which Humanly alternative is best for high-volume hourly hiring?

For hourly volume, the deciding question is whether your bottleneck is getting candidates booked or deciding who is worth booking. If applicants are dropping out between apply and interview because nobody replies for three days, a scheduling-led tool such as Paradox attacks that directly. If recruiters are spending their week on identical fifteen minute screens and still sending weak shortlists to store managers, you need something that conducts and scores the screen.

That second problem is where an AI interview agent earns its keep. Ours interviews every applicant on a req by voice or video, asks follow-up questions when an answer is thin, scores each answer against the rubric you set, and returns a ranked shortlist with transcripts. It is priced in public, so you can compare it against your current recruiter hours before a call. How that plays out at scale is covered in our guide to high volume hiring software, and the vendor field for volume specifically is in the best AI interview software for high-volume hiring.

One caution for multi-location operators. Whatever screens the candidate, somebody still has to book the second conversation with a store or site manager. Humanly bundles scheduling, so if you move to an interview-only tool, check that your ATS covers it or add dedicated scheduling software for business teams so finalists are not left waiting for a reply. A fast first round followed by a slow second one loses the same candidates you just screened.

Is Paradox a good alternative to Humanly?

Paradox is the most direct alternative for an enterprise hourly employer, because both sell conversational engagement, screening and scheduling into the same retail, restaurant and healthcare accounts. Paradox vs Humanly mostly comes down to depth. Olivia is built to qualify quickly and put an interview on the calendar, while Humanly now markets an AI Interviewer that runs a structured interview and scores it. Neither publishes a price. Paradox does not even keep a pricing page: the address redirects to its homepage. Our dated reading is on Paradox pricing.

Is Sapia.ai a good alternative to Humanly for mobile-first hiring?

Yes, if your candidates apply from a phone and will not sit a video interview. Sapia.ai runs the interview as structured text chat, which suits mobile-first hiring well, and it prices per hire: its own pricing page says you can interview as many people as you want and pay only for the people you hire, and that it is designed for companies hiring more than 500 people a year. Below that volume the model is less attractive. Sapia vs Humanly is therefore mostly a question of format and scale: text-only chat priced per hire against a multi-channel suite quoted per contract. The wider field of chat-based tools is compared on Sapia competitors.

What does a Humanly alternative cost?

Among the vendors that publish, the range runs from $59 a month for an InterviewFlowAI pilot plan to $999 a month for our Scale plan, with most AI interview agents between $199 and $499 a month before per-interview credits. Recorded video tools are cheaper at the headline, Spark Hire from $249 a month billed annually, because your team does the reviewing. The five that do not publish, Humanly, Paradox, Sapia.ai, HireVue and Alex, are quoted against your volume, so ask for the pricing unit, the overage rate, any implementation fee and the renewal uplift in writing before you compare them.

The number that matters most is not in any table. Work out how many recruiter hours your first round takes each month and what those hours cost. For a team screening 400 hourly applicants a month at fifteen minutes each, that is 100 hours before scheduling and notes, and that figure is usually larger than any subscription here.

How to choose between Humanly and its alternatives

Start by naming the one job that is broken. If it is your ATS, Humanly's bundle deserves a serious look and the alternatives in this table are not replacements for it. If it is scheduling, look at Paradox. If it is candidates who will only use their phone, look at Sapia.ai. If it is the first-round interview itself, compare the AI interview agents on four points: who writes the rubric, whether every score links to the transcript line behind it, whether follow-up questions come from the answer or from a script, and whether the vendor will hand you a bias audit summary for NYC Local Law 144 without a procurement fight.

If you want to see what a scored first round looks like before you talk to anyone, the interview agent at the top of this page will run one on a role you name and return the transcript, the scores and the ranking. That is a faster test of any vendor's claims, ours included, than another demo call.
