The best Glider AI alternative depends on which part of Glider you actually use. If you need an AI to conduct and score first-round interviews at a price you can see, InterviewAgent.ai (from $149 a month for 100 interviews), Interviewer.AI ($199 a month) and Ribbon AI ($499 a month billed annually) all publish one. If you rely on coding tests, proctoring and ID checks, HireVue, Vervoe and Jobma are the closer match, and none of them print a price. Glider AI publishes no price either, checked on October 9, 2026.
Glider AI is a capable platform. It runs technical and behavioral assessments, coding simulations, autonomous AI video interviews, one-way video, live coding interviews, ID verification, proctoring and an AI recruiter that handles phone screens and outreach. Staffing firms and IT services companies like it because it can prove a contractor's skills to a client before the first placement call.
US buyers start looking around for three reasons. There is no published price to budget against. Findem announced it was acquiring Glider AI on March 19, 2026, which raises questions about renewal terms and roadmap. And many teams bought a five-part skills platform when the job they needed done was the first-round interview. This guide is for a talent acquisition lead or staffing firm owner in that position who is weighing alternatives to Glider AI. We build one of the tools below, so treat that as a disclosed interest. Every price was read on the vendor's own site on the date shown. What Glider AI does publish about its cost is on our Glider AI pricing page.

Glider AI competitors fall into two groups: AI interviewers that publish a price, and assessment suites that sell by quote. Five of the nine options print a price. Glider AI, HireVue, Vervoe and Jobma all sell by quote, so if you need a number for a budget request before talking to sales, start with the other five.
Why do teams look for a Glider AI alternative?
Price visibility comes first. Glider AI's pricing address redirects twice and lands on a demo form, and its new parent, Findem, publishes no figure either. A staffing firm owner who wants to know whether a tool pays for itself on a 40-placement month cannot answer that from the website.
The acquisition is the second. Findem describes the deal as building one platform that delivers candidates with verified skills and confirmed identity, which may suit you well. It also means your next renewal might arrive as a Findem contract with different packaging. If your notice period falls in the next six months, that is reason enough to price alternatives now, even if you stay.
Fit is the third. Glider AI is strongest when the risk is a candidate who cannot code or is not who they say they are. If most of your volume is customer service, retail, healthcare support or sales, you may be paying for coding simulations and proctoring you rarely switch on, while the real cost, recruiters running hundreds of 20-minute screens, stays where it was.
What is the cheapest alternative to Glider AI?
The cheaper alternative to Glider AI depends on which job you are replacing. For an AI that conducts and scores the interview, our Starter plan is $149 a month for up to 100 interviews, which is $1.49 per interview, and $0.80 on Growth at $399 for 500. Billed yearly, those halve. Interviewer.AI works out to about $3.98 per one-way interview on its Essential monthly plan and charges two credits for a conversational one. Ribbon AI starts at $499 a month billed annually for 100 interviews.
If you only need recorded one-way video, Hireflix is $75 a month billed yearly for unlimited responses under 50 employees. Be careful comparing that with a Glider AI quote, though. A recording tool replaces none of the assessments, proctoring or identity checks, and someone on your team still watches every answer. Compare cost per qualified candidate, including the recruiter hours each option leaves behind. Our full plan list is on the pricing page.
Which Glider AI alternative is best for staffing agencies?
Agencies care about two things Glider AI does well: proving a candidate's skills to a client and moving faster than the agency down the street. The alternative has to cover at least the second. An AI interview agent interviews every applicant the evening they apply, scores each answer against the client's criteria, and gives your recruiter a ranked shortlist with transcripts they can forward. For an agency filling light industrial, call center or clerical orders, that is usually the whole first round.
Where agencies place developers and IT contractors, keep a skills test in the process. A coding exercise is better evidence of coding ability than any interview question, and a conducted interview is better evidence of communication and judgment than any test. Many agencies pair an AI interview with a separate coding tool rather than buying both from one vendor. Our guide to the best AI interview software for staffing agencies compares the options on per-client rubrics and volume swings.
Which Glider AI alternative is best for technical hiring?
If technical roles are most of your hiring, the honest answer is that you need two things: a scored skills exercise and an interview that tests how the candidate explains their work. Vervoe and HireVue cover the skills side by quote. An AI interview agent covers the conversation, asking a candidate to walk through a system they built and following up when the answer stays vague.
Fraud is the other half of technical hiring in 2026. Proxy interviewees and candidates reading AI-generated answers are why Glider AI built ID verification and proctoring into its product. If you leave Glider, make sure your replacement stack still checks identity and flags suspicious answers. Our article on interview fraud and proxy candidates covers what to look for, and the AI interview software for software engineers guide compares tools for developer roles.
What do you lose by leaving Glider AI?
Be honest about the modules your team touches every week. Glider AI bundles assessments, coding simulations, live coding interviews, AI video interviews, an AI recruiter for phone screens and outreach, ID verification, proctoring and learning tools. None of the alternatives above cover all of that in one contract, so list what you use before you compare prices.
The AI recruiter is the module teams forget. If you used it to reach passive candidates rather than to screen applicants, you will need contact data for those people somewhere else, and an email finder with verification built in handles that part of sourcing without a full platform. Proctoring is the other: if clients require proctored assessments in their contracts, confirm the replacement offers it or keep a separate testing tool for those accounts.
How should you switch from Glider AI?
Start with the contract. Find the renewal date and notice period, and give notice in writing before it passes, because most quote-priced contracts renew automatically. Ask in the same message whether the renewal would be on Glider AI or Findem paper. Export the assessment results, interview recordings and candidate reports you are required to keep before access ends.
Then run the replacement on one live requisition for two weeks. Send the same applicants through both, have a recruiter rank them by hand, and compare the shortlists. If you are testing an AI interview agent, check that every score shows the transcript quote behind it, as ours do on interview scorecard software, so your recruiters and clients can see why a candidate ranked where they did.
Glider AI alternatives frequently asked questions
Does Glider AI publish its prices?
No. On October 9, 2026 glider.ai/pricing redirected to a pricing request address and then to the Book a Demo form. No page on the site showed a plan name or a dollar figure, and Findem's own pricing address showed none either.
Who owns Glider AI?
Findem announced a definitive agreement to acquire Glider AI on March 19, 2026. Terms were not disclosed. The Glider AI homepage now carries the acquisition news.
Is Glider AI an AI interview platform?
Partly. Its autonomous AI video interviews ask role-specific questions, follow up and score answers against a rubric. Its one-way video, live coding and AI Interview Helper products leave the interview or the review to people, and much of the platform is assessments.
What is the difference between Glider AI and HireVue?
Glider AI vs HireVue comes down to focus, because both sell assessments and AI interviews to enterprises and neither publishes a price. Glider AI leans toward technical skills, coding, proctoring and staffing firms. HireVue leans toward large corporate and high-volume hiring with recorded and AI interviews.
If you would rather see a scored first round than read about one, the interview agent at the top of this page runs one on a role you name. The wider field is on our AI interview software page.
